For the last decade, Danah-Lee has been teaching many musical minds, young and old within the Ottawa Valley. And still, Danah makes time for her own creative works to be exposed. Her very booming music school, More Than A Song Studios is “Music Education Done Differently”. On a weekly basis, Danah-Lee sees many students in the Ottawa Valley.
Danah-Lee’s first album, The Post Concussion Syndrome (2017), turned her real-life experiences into songs. The album is a response to life unfolding – sometimes tragic, and at other times euphoric.
In 2019, the Ottawa Valley, Ontario-based singer songwriter completed her EP, Sunshine & Bonbons (March 1, 2019). Danah worked with award winning producer Jordon Zadorozny (Courtney Love, Sam Roberts), and Phil Hulan (Belvue, Almost Kennedy), to record an album that is quite different than anything Danah has previously released. Sunshine & Bonbons is one-part edgy, and one-part tug at your heart strings!
Danah is currently working on an album, co-written with several her music students, “The Act of Education”. Due out in 2020!
With a voice described as “crisp, pure and powerful,” Danah-Lee has been singing songs that share snippets into her life experiences, (to which most listeners can relate on some level).
Equipped with a widespread index of songs, her knack at inviting folks to express and her distinct voice, Danah-Lee is considered an innovator at creating a means for all to share in the experience of song.
