For Keeps is a four-piece indie-dream-pop-whatever band based out of Toronto, ON. Featuring Julia Allen, Bradley McClure, Jeff Hurst, and Cameron MacDonald, the band is gliding through the airwaves of Southern Ontario and beyond, wooing audiences with their warm melodies and atmospheric jangle. Their singles “Tender” and “Fast One” blend the honest lyricism of early-2000s emo and pop punk with the ethereal, gossamer tonalities of contemporary shoegaze and twee pop sensations like Alvvays, Frankie Cosmos, and Mazzy Star, creating sensitive, dreamy anthems for air and water signs everywhere.

In under a year of crafting, rehearsing, and showcasing their sound, For Keeps have graced the stages of some of Toronto’s most well-known indie venues, including the Cameron House, the Burdock, and the Monarch Tavern, and recently garnered attention from CP24 after their endearing 2018 Junction Night Market performance. The band recently released their debut EP Somedays in September 2018 at the Painted Lady, followed by a series of autumn shows ranging from the ROAR Music Festival to intimate, small-venue performances, organized in association with local artist and community management companies such as Sparrow Tree Productions and Eclectic Comfort. Yet despite their jam-packed end-of-year run, the band has already begun the writing process for their sophomore album, and plan on translating their sound to video in the upcoming months.
