The Collective is an electrifying six-piece band from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia who are currently making waves with their unique, genre-defying blend of indie-pop dance grooves that consistently leave their audiences wanting more.

Fronted by soulful and incomparably powerful vocalist Leah Samson and charismatic singer-songwriter Niki Campbell, the band’s refreshing indie-pop sound defies the scope and shatters the boundaries of genre, an eclectic mix of electronic and organic that is inspired equally by the time-honoured traditions of R&B, jazz, and blues, as well as the influence of modern dance and pop music. Rounding out the lineup are multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Brett MacDougall, guitarist Kyle Samson, bassist Michelle Tracey, and drummer Jay MacLeod. The Collective are known for their energetic and engaging live performances, their natural on-stage chemistry, and most importantly, their unparalleled ability to fill a dance floor with their irresistible sonic magnetism.

The Collective have shared the stage with numerous artists across a multitude of genres, including other Canadian performers such as Ria Mae, Wintersleep, and The Barra MacNeils, and have collaborated several times with up-and-coming East Coast rock band and close friends, Andre Pettipas and the Giants.

Fresh off the release of their debut single, Beast, The Collective is poised to launch into what is certain to be a bright trajectory in the music industry.
