Fade Awaays

Fade Awaays are an independent Toronto-based Alternative Rock band formed in 2013. The group is comprised of Reid MacMaster (guitar), Duncan Briggs (bass), Sean Hackl (guitar), and Owen Wolff (drums). The group has a democratic approach to making music: each member contributes to lead vocals and songwriting.

After getting started in the Toronto club scene, Fade Awaays have been relentlessly gigging throughout the city and beyond. Setting out on multiple tours across Canada, all the while finishing high school and completing music college. The band has appeared at popular Canadian music festivals such as CMW, NXNE, Trapdoor Festival, Indie Week and was named one of Exclaim! Magazine/Dan Burke’s Class of 2018 graduates. They have played alongside international acts such as Wolf Alice, The Beaches, Public Access TV, Hot Flash Heat Wave, The Gooch Palms, and The Sherlocks.

Fade Awaays released their debut EP, “Taste Of Life” on January 11th, 2019. Followed by two singles, titled “As They Do” and “I Won’t Lie”. The band is currently working on finishing up their newest EP, “These Visions” set to be released in April 2021.

Over the past year, during the course of the Covid-19 pandemic; Fade Awaays have not been deterred from working hard on new music, and were able to complete multiple writing trips where they vigorously demoed and grew their catalogue. Keeping a debut album in mind.

Hoping to break out big on an international stage, Fade Awaays have their eyes set on touring overseas, growing their fan base, and participating in global music festivals such as The Great Escape, Indie Week UK, SXSW, Austin City Limits, Reeperbahn Festival, and bigger goals like… well Glastonbury of course!

Personable, determined, and hard-working, you can expect to see more of Fade Awaays in the future. 🙂
